Jim Pipkin 1945 - 2023
The artist Jim Pipkin passed away in 2023. He never produced a website himself, so we - his friends - have done it for him, as his legacy and a memorial to a lifetime’s dedication to the art of painting.
Update August 2026
We set up this website to accompany a programme of exhibitions and other events to make Jim’s work known to a wider audience.
Over three quarters of Jim’s paintings have now been bought, with the money donated to charities, or they were donated directly to charitable organisations where they will be visible to a wider public audience.
The site has done its job, and in November will be closed down. For the final three months we have collected together the 25 or so paintings that are still available in their own site page - here.

Our Goal
Our goal is to create and share a permanent catalogue of Jim’s work.
The paintings shown on this site include the ones left in Jim’s studio, plus some others where the image is still available.
We have been able to date most of them from Jim’s own records, from exhibition stickers on the back of individual works, and from exhibition catalogues. For some others we have had to rely on stylistic similarities.
We would like to thank owners of paintings for providing and allowing images to be shown on the site.
